Gear Up: How to Build Artifact Sets, Balance Stats & Optimize Loadouts in RAID

Last Updated on October 16, 2025 by Brandon Wisnieski

In RAID: Shadow Legends, raw strength will only take you so far. The true masters—the ones who clear bosses with surgical precision—know it’s not just about who you bring into battle. It’s about how you equip them.

Think of artifacts as your champion’s armor and your loadouts as their training. The right build turns a common fighter into a dojo-level destroyer. Here’s how to sharpen your squad’s edge.

Every champion equips six artifact slots:

  • Weapon (always ATK primary)
  • Helmet (always HP primary)
  • Shield (always DEF primary)
  • Gauntlets
  • Chestplate
  • Boots

The final three are where strategy kicks in. Their primary stats vary—and their substats carry hidden power. Gear without purpose? That’s like a ninja without a blade.

Artifact sets grant extra bonuses when equipped in pairs or quads. Choosing the right sets for each champion type is the first step to building a lethal team.

  • Savage Set: Cuts through 25 percent of enemy DEF. Perfect for PvP assassins and boss breakers.
  • Cruel Set: Adds ATK and ignores DEF. Farmed from the Clan Boss dojo.
  • Speed Set: First strike wins fights—speed keeps you ahead of the curve.
  • Perception Set: Accuracy meets speed—ideal for debuffers.
  • Speed Set: Get your buffs in before the enemy blinks.
  • Immortal Set: Passive healing keeps your support team standing when the pressure’s on.
  • Regeneration Set: Self-heals every turn. Great for solo challenges.
  • Stalwart Set: Reduces AoE hits. Underrated, but deadly when used wisely.
  • Relentless Set: Random extra turns. Tricky to master, but devastating in the right hands.
  • Reflex: Reduces cooldowns. Better uptime = more utility.
  • Destroy: Reduces enemy MAX HP. Use it against the Scarab King and other healing tanks.
  • Fury: More damage as HP drops. Risky. Ninja-grade only.

Every artifact has a primary stat and up to four substats. Here’s what to prioritize:

  • Speed: Always useful. Your team should never feel slow.
  • Crit Rate & Crit Damage: Essential for nukers. Aim for 100 percent crit rate.
  • Accuracy: Needed for debuffers—if it doesn’t land, it doesn’t matter.
  • Resistance: Keeps your champs from being stunned, provoked or silenced mid-strike.
  • ATK%, DEF%, HP%: Always prioritize percent stats over flat ones.

A well-rolled piece with perfect substats? That’s your secret weapon.

Even the best ninja knows when to hold back.

  • Level to 4 to reveal the first substat. Evaluate.
  • Level to 8 or 12 only if the rolls are solid. Walk away if they’re not.
  • Don’t overcommit to mediocre gear just because it’s rare. Stay disciplined.

Preserve your silver. Channel it where it counts.

Focus your dungeon time for maximum efficiency:

  • Dragon’s Lair: All-purpose training ground for Speed, Lifesteal, Accuracy and more.
  • Fire Knight’s Castle: Advanced dojo—yields Shield, Savage, and high-value utility sets.
  • Spider’s Den: Farm this for accessories. Rings, amulets and banners await.

Target stages 20 and up for top-tier drops. Grind smart, not just hard.

  • Match gear to role. Every Champion has a path—respect it.
  • Filter and lock your best pieces. One slip can cost you hours of work.
  • Master one crew’s build before moving to the next. Spread focus = slower progress.
  • Let your loadouts evolve. Today’s best set might not be best tomorrow.

Remember: every piece of gear is a tool. Every substat, a blade. Equip with intent, sharpen with experience, and strike with precision.

And when you play through KashKick? Every milestone you hit, every dungeon you clear—it all brings you closer to real-world rewards. That’s not just playing. That’s leveling up for real.
