Verify your identity

We take account security seriously. That’s why we ask you to verify your identity before you Kash Out for the first time and whenever you change your payment information. Identity verification helps us keep your account and your money safe.

What is identity verification?

It’s the process of confirming your identity with verifiable information and documentation, such as a driver’s license or passport. We’ve partnered with Plaid, a trusted leader in financial security and data protection, to safeguard your account through identity verification.

When is it required?

You will be asked to verify your identity when you Kash Out for the first time.

You may be asked to reverify your identity if:

• You change the PayPal information on your account
• You attempt to withdraw large amounts
• We note unusual or suspicious activity on your account

What you need

When verifying your identity, you may need:

• Personal information–your name, address, date of birth, and last four digits of your SSN
• A mobile device
• Pictures of identifying documents such as a driver’s license or passport

What to expect

During the process, you will complete some or all of these steps:

1. Enter personal information and SSN.
2. Submit pictures of identifying documents.
3. Submit a selfie.
